PREVENTING PEDIATRIC HIV IN ZIMBABWE

CARING FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN

The J.F. Kapnek Trust-Zimbabwe and the J.F. Kapnek Trust-U.S. operate the largest  pediatric HIV/AIDS transmission prevention program  in Zimbabwe, Africa - serving approximately 900 birthing centers and 200,000 pregnant women.  Through testing, training, counseling, education, and delivery of medications, we prevent more than 15,000 new cases of pediatric HIV/AIDS each year.

The organizations also support thousands of orphans, vulnerable and disabled children through Kapnek-sponsored preschools, school fees and scholarships.  We do this with support from our partners and critical donations from individuals like you. Thank you!

UNITED NATIONS AWARD - Kapnek is “strikingly innovative”.

UNICEF has chosen the Kapnek Orphan Support/Preschool Program as a model and awarded us their “Best Practices Award”, writing that the “Kapnek Trust is “strikingly innovative”, and that “their greatest asset is inclusion of the local community”,  and that the Trust runs ”a tight ship” financially.”
