UNICEF Best Practices Award

“Kapnek Trust is Strikingly Innovative”

We are proud to announce that the J.F. Kapnek Trust’s Orphan Support-Preschool Program was recently selected by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) from among 77 programs as one of the most effective in supporting orphans and children affected by the AIDS pandemic in Southern Africa.

This award followed an extensive review of our schools and training methods, and the finding highlights our efforts to work within local communities.

The reported noted:

The benefits of Kapnek Trust’s intervention were evident to us. The proof lay in the beautifully decorated and well-finished ECD (Early Childhood Development) classrooms, the happy, healthy children, the proudly presented text books, the integration of the physically challenged into the classes and the warm welcome we received from the school administration.”
